Trekking Cat Ba: back to the primeval forest
At 8:00 am, our English-speaking guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cat Ba city and transfer you to Cat Ba National Park around 9:00 am.
The Trekking Cat Ba National Park
First, you will start the drive to the park and start walking in the Cat Ba Forest. You will have a few hours of walking through the tropical forest of the mountain to discover its beauties. This is the opportunity to enjoy bird watching, visit the primary forest and the Frog Lake. Along the way there is a chance to see different animals such as native cats, squirrels, spotted deer, snakes, thousands of butterflies and if you are lucky, you may spot a Cat Ba langur.
You arrive at Viet Hai village where you will have lunch with a local family with homemade food.
This afternoon, continue your trek to Navy Peak to reach one of the highest peaks in Cat Ba National Park. From here, you will have a great chance to get the panoramic view of Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, Viet Hai Village and the whole Cat Ba National Park.
After that you will take a walk in the village and meet the friendly local fishermen who live inside the National Park.
And you can choose to walk or cycle past the rice field and valleys to the pier where you take a boat to pass through Lan Ha Bay and arrive at Ben Beo Port.
At 5:00 PM, the driver picks you up at the Ben Beo port and transfers you back to the hotel.
